Software Development Engineer
Public bionanotechnology company seeks a creative, highly motivated software engineer who enjoys challenges to develop and maintain LabView code for the NanoWare user interface of our Nano eNabler and Cyto eNabler research instruments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and optimize existing LabView code
- Interface with service engineers and application scientists to troubleshoot software
- Develop new features in response to user feedback
- Create and deploy stand-alone applications
- Complete a migration to LabView 8.6
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred. Candidates with other engineering degrees will be considered based on experience and competence.
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience developing advanced data acquisition and automation applications.
- Must be proficient with LabView; experience with National Instruments hardware a plus.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, or similar a plus.
- Prior experience programming for motion control systems, data acquisition, and machine vision are essential.
- Demonstrated skill in graphical user interface design a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team, with a professional attitude and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Capable of delivering results and meeting software release deadlines under minimal supervision.
