Field Applications Scientist - Atlanta

BioForce Nanosciences, a public bionanotechnology company seeks an outgoing customer-oriented application scientist to support the expansion of a novel research instrument in the biosensor and cell biology markets. This technology enables a multitude of new applications across several scientific disciplines including biosensors, stem cell research, tissue engineering, and neuroscience. Candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and technical aptitude. Successful candidates will have the ability to think and act independently with strong problem solving skills.

 This position requires travel (25% minimum).

 Key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing customers with on-site technical and application assistance, installations, training and product demonstrations. 
  • Address application questions and problems via phone and e-mail.
  • Develop new protocols and uses for technology to solve specific customer problems, and expand technology applications.
  • Assist in the specification, design and verification of new product development. 

Qualifications:

  • PhD in a bioscience field with experience in BioMEMS, cell biology, surface chemistry and/or other molecular biology procedures is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in a customer support, and/or research instrument usage role is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and technical aptitude. Successful candidates will have the ability to think and act independently with strong problem solving skills.
